Dr. James Bartley

Dr. James Bartley has been in private practice since 1983. He is a Columbus native and attended Clubview Elementary, Richards Middle School, and Brookstone School. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Georgia in 1979. He attended and received his medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1982. He completed his podiatric surgical residence in Jacksonville, FL, at Jacksonville General Hospital.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot and ankle surgery. He specializes in forefoot and rear foot reconstruction. He is a past President of the local chapter of the American Diabetes Association. He attends numerous seminars each year to ensure that he is current on any of the latest techniques or medical breakthroughs in his field.

Dr. James Bartley recently completed an advanced course and was awarded a certificate in the Advance Reconstructive Surgical Skills in Foot and Ankle from Wright Medical and Biologics held in Phoenix, AZ in December 2008.

He is an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where he served on the administrative board for several years. He is also a member of the Georgia Bulldog Club and the local Kiwanis Club. He is a member of the Columbus Museum, an active supporter of the Springer Opera House and a member of the Columbus Quarterback Club. He recently served as the Vice President of the Columbus Youth Soccer Association as well as coaching on all of his three daughters soccer teams at various times. He has been married to his wife, Terry, since 1983 and they have three daughters, Sherry Marie, Christen, and Caroline. His hobbies include golf, fishing, traveling, working out, and spending time with his family.
